 Viktor Yanukovych met with Marshal of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland Bronislaw Komorowski

The Party of Regions Leader Viktor Yanukovych met with Marshal of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland Bronislaw Komorovski, who is on a visit to Ukraine.

The parties have discussed the situation in the Verkhovna Rada, prospects of enhancing bilateral relations, possibilities for accelerating Ukraine's Eurointegration, and also a course of preparation to "Euro-2012".
"European integration is one of the key issues that unite and consolidate the Ukrainian society. Since its foundation the Party of Regions has outlined the importance of Ukraine's integration to Europe. Particularly, it is represented in the Party's programme papers", Viktor Yanukovych said.
The Party of Regions Leader made an appeal to the Marshal of the Sejm to expedite the ratification of an agreement between Ukraine and Poland on the local traffic to simplify the procedure for people who live in the border area. Bronislaw Komorowski promised to address this matter in the Sejm of the Republic of Poland "as soon as possible". He wished this decision would help to solve the problem concerning the Ukrainian and Polish border after the Republic of Poland 's entry into the Schengen zone.
Viktor Yanukovych and Bronislaw Komorowski appreciated forming of the Polish-Ukrainian parliamentary group, as well as the Polish part of the Ukrainian-Polish Parliamentary assembly. "The bilateral parliamentary group and the assembly will become efficient instruments for arranging collaboration between the parliaments of both countries", Viktor Yanukovych marked.
