Viktor Yanukovych: Government's important task for the next year is to overcome negative balance in foreign trade

"One of the most important Government's tasks for the following year will be overcoming the negative balance in foreign trade. It is possible," Prime Minister Viktor Yanukovych stressed at the sitting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
Viktor Yanukovych said that according to the analysis results of the Government's activity in foreign trades, the best balance of foreign trade Ukraine has with Russia, the biggest trade partner.
"In other words, our export increased 2,5 fold and import increased by nearly 50 percent. It is a significant showing. And if we keep such rates then we succeed in reducing negative balance of foreign trade balance," Viktor Yanukovych said.
Prime Minister also stressed that the economic bloc of the Cabinet should now consider top priority laws necessary for economic development. "As soon as the Parliament begins to operate we should reach understanding with the President in all these directions. By the way, we had a discussion on this subject to submit social and economic laws in the first place which will give an opportunity to advance," Viktor Yanukovych noted.
Populist statements in 2005 had significantly influenced emergence of negative balance in foreign trade, the Premier noted. | |
