The first meeting of the Opposition Government was held on December, 21. Party of Regions faction Leader Viktor Yanukovych chaired the meeting.



The Opposition Government meeting has also approved its composition.

The members of the Opposition Government, in particular, are: Minister of Finance Mykola Azarov, Minister of Economy Iryna Akimova, Minister of Defence Oleksandr Kuzmuk, Minister of Internal Affairs Mykola Dzhiga, Minister of Fuel and Energy Yuriy Boiko, Minister of Coal Industry Serhiy Tulub, Minister of Transport and Connection Volodymyr Kozak, Minister of Labour and Social Policy Mykhailo Papiev, Minister of Education and Science Dmytro Tabachnyk, Minister of Foreign Affairs Kostyantin Grischenko, Minister of Justice Oleksandr Lavrynovych, Minister of Ecology Anatoliy Tolstoukhov, Minister of Agriculture Viktor Slauta, Minister of Housing and Communal Services Oleksandr Popov, Minister of Extraordinary Situations Nestor Shufrych, Minister of Building and Regional Building Volodymyr Yatsuba, Minister of Industrial Policy and Entrepreneurship Anatoliy Kinakh, Minister on Family, Youth and Sports Matters Viktor Korzh.

Besides, Serhiy Lyovochkin has been appointed the Head of National Bank, Inna Bogoslovska has been nominated the Head of State Tax Administration.
