Viktor Yanukovych: We will try to begin the process of making alterations to the Constitution as soon as possible

The Party of Regions Leader Viktor Yanukovych during an interview following the Sunday Divine Service in the Refectory church of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra answered the journalists' question whether Parliament would begin in autumn the procedure of making alterations to the Constitution.
Viktor Yanukovych mentioned that the Party of Regions faction was negotiating with all Parliament factions regarding making alterations to the Main Law. He reminded that the Party of Regions members had already registered their own draft law on making alterations to the Constitution.
According to him, the Party of Regions faction would also initiate creation of the temporal ad hoc commission of Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine concerning making alterations to the Constitution.
"We will try to begin this process as soon as possible. Our country's future depends on the efficiency of the authorities. Under such conditions the country cannot live any more", the Party of Regions Leader pointed out. | |
