Viktor Yanukovych: The responsibility for possible pre-term parliamentary elections will be carried by the orange team

The Party of Regions Leader Viktor Yanukovych in an interview to parliamentary journalists told about the complications existing at the negotiations on forming a coalition between the PoR and BYUT.
Viktor Yanukovych marked in particular: "A complication is that we practically do not have ideological groundwork for coming to an agreement. For example, we have not voted on the Law on government service yet, and BYUT already rejects the possibility of using Russian in office proceedings. But half of Ukrainian population is Russian-speaking".
The Party of Regions Leader underlined that the political force headed by him is searching for the ways to set up a new parliamentary coalition. At the same time, he noted that the previous pre-term parliamentary elections were caused by the orange coalition, it was their initiative. "And precisely this team and its leaders should be responsible for the present state of affairs in the country. In 2008 a concert of the so-called democratic coalition was watched by entire country. I think that the roles they played are not the roles that the President and prime minister should perform, – Viktor Yanukovych said. – They should solve the issues which disturb 48 million Ukrainians nowadays".
According to Viktor Yanukovych, "a natural coalition" is the coalition among the PoR, CPU and Litvin's Block.
The Party of Regions Leader also said that in case of conducting pre-term parliamentary elections the PoR will gather the amount of votes necessary to form a coalition in VRU.
"Definitely, the Party of Regions will be in the core of this coalition ", Viktor Yanukovych said. He mentioned as well that now the Party of Regions is being threatened with the fact that its voters will not go to the pre-term elections.
"I believe that our voters understand well who destabilizes the economic situation in the country", Viktor Yanukovych said. | |
