25.09.2008, 15:03

Answering the parliamentary journalists' questions today, the Party of Regions Leader Viktor Yanukovych said that People's Deputy Rinat Akhmetov and he has enjoyed and will enjoy "absolutely normal relationship".

Viktor Yanukovych underlined: "A lot of things unite us, and a split in the Party of Regions could never occur. The Party of Regions has been and will be strong". "Various rumors are being spread. It is not done by Akhmetov and me... We understand perfectly that our opponents and competitors spread them. It is their style – using any means", the Party of Regions Leader pointed out.

Communicating with the media representatives, Viktor Yanukovych also mentioned that there was no conflict between the Party of Regions and Secretary of the Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Raisa Bogatyryova. "She chose her way and turned to it. And the Party expressed its point of view – and that is all. Why should we discuss it?".

The Party of Regions Leader emphasized once again that the Party of Regions members did not make an enemy out of Bogatyryova. "But politically we have assumed different positions", Viktor Yanukovych stated.
