The Party of Regions halted the negotiations on forming a coalition

The Party of Regions Political Council Presidium made a decision to halt the negotiations on forming a parliamentary coalition with all factions engaged in such talks. The reason of such a decision is that the orange forces began the process of reanimation of the collapsed parliamentary majority. Just few days ago the whole country and international society could observe how they broke up the so-called democratic coalition through their joint efforts. And today the same politicians are trying to enter the same river for the second time.
The Ukrainian people witness how the orange politicians continue to plunge the state into a swamp of political intrigues in order to remain in power.
Being unable to negotiate openly, transparently as the Party of Regions urges, these forces resort again to cynical political bargaining. Its objective is neither exiting the socio-economic crisis, nor fighting against inflation, nor improvement of relations with the Russian Federation. Its aim is the upcoming presidential elections, redistribution of power-holding positions, access to financial and administrative resources.
This political borsch got sour a long time ago, although the orange politicians are making an attempt to feed the people with it again. In this situation the Party of Regions relieves itself of the responsibility for all consequences of another orange gamble. This adventure will trigger a surge of political instability, an impetus to further worsening of the social and economic situation in the country, impoverishment of the people.
The orange forces turned to the path of pre-term parliamentary elections once and for all, and precisely they will be responsible for it to the country and people.
Being successive in its actions, the Party of Regions calls for a state-style approach to searching for the ways out of the political crisis. This approach should be based on the idea of a broad unity of political forces, on the necessity of taking into account the interests of all Ukrainians, on clear-cut strategy of the state's economic growth and its foreign policy.
The responsibility for Ukraine's future makes us declare: the limit of people's trust in the orange is over. As soon as they understand it we are ready to get round the table again. | |
