Viktor Yanukovych: The Party of Regions will never renounce the idea of granting Russian the status of a second official language

We firmly and earnestly declare that our party's program goals remain fundamental in all our activities and development.
Different speculations and distortions of facts in order to persuade people that the Party of Regions is allegedly willing to put aside consideration of the issues about granting Russian the status of a second official language are mere attempts to sow distrust among our voters.
We are true now, were and will be true in the future to our adherents' orders for whom the language issue is crucial.
And we will make every effort, on obtaining constitutional majority in parliament, to pass the law on Russian as a second official language in Ukraine. | |
