Answering the media representatives' questions today upon completion of a divine service in Svyato-Pokrovsk monastery, the Party of Regions Leader Viktor Yanukovych marked:
- The reason of the crisis is that in 2007 Yulia Tymoshenko initiated pre-term elections. They annihilated the parliamentary coalition, which worked stable and numbered not 226 people's deputies as now, but 250.
Why did the initiators of last year's pre-term elections destroy this stability – will anyone ever answer this question for the people?

Replying to the question concerning the most probable composition of the new parliamentary coalition, Viktor Yanukovych said: "The situation after the elections will show everything. I have said many times that we should not make enemies out of politicians because thousands and millions of voters are behind every political force, if it passes to parliament, and the choice of these people should be respected. If they elected them, then we should understand that these political forces which represent our state are the Ukrainian people.
Therefore, my point is that in a civilized country politicians should not be enemies, in the name of the state they should unite around the national interests, behind economic growth for improvement of people's lives and prosperity of our state." | |
