The Party of Regions Leader Viktor Yanukovych gave an interview to British periodical The Financial Times.
Answering the question about joint voting of BYUT and PoR in parliament in September, he, in particular, marked: "The Party of Regions voted for the laws which corresponded to our program and which were for the country's benefit, for the Ukrainian people's benefit."
Speaking about the possibility of postponing the pre-term parliamentary elections due to BYUT actions, Viktor Yanukovych noted that "the more Yulia Tymoshenko will impede these elections, the more she will show her real face both to the Ukrainians and the whole world."
The Party of Regions Leader also described his vision of a coalition format in new parliament, prospects of settling the conflict in Georgia and consequences of global financial crisis for Ukraine.
