Viktor Yanukovych: The gambles of the present authorities destroy Ukraine's future

Today the Party of Regions Leader Viktor Yanukovych, making a speech on live air of the First Municipal TV channel (Donetsk region) said that the present authorities consciously worsen relationship with Russia, posing it as an enemy and trying to embody this idea among the Ukrainian people.
"We do not see threats against Ukraine. The intimidation into war against Russia is another gamble, very humiliating both for the Ukrainian and Russian people. It is utterly dishonorable to act in such a way. All the more, there are no grounds for doing so", the Party of Regions Leader underlined.
"Imaging Russia as an enemy and permanent confrontation result in lack of mutual understanding and mutually beneficial cooperation between Ukraine and the Russian Federation", Viktor Yanukovych is convinced. "It is part of the main reason for our failure to hold normal negotiations in trade relations with Russia.
Why is gas so expensive? Because Russians do not want to stand such an attitude towards themselves", V. Yanukovych pointed out. | |
