The Party of Regions Leader Viktor Yanukovych, who is on a working visit to Donetsk region today, has visited a rolling mill of the Makeevka metallurgical plant.
Speaking to the plant workers at a meeting, Viktor Yanukovych marked that while holding a post of the governor of Donetsk region he often visited the plant – both during downtime hard for the enterprise and when light at the end of the tunnel was seen. "At that time we made a decision vital for the plant, it began to work and develop", Viktor Yanukovych mentioned.

"In 2006 together with you we won the parliamentary elections, and from the first days we began to establish order in the country, to upgrade the economy. In the first quarter of 2007 the GDP growth rate was 9.6%. A stable coalition, which accounted for more than 250 people's deputies, worked in parliament. Over 80% decrees, approved by parliament at that time, were initiated by our government. But on April 2 Yushchenko incited by Tymoshenko dissolved parliament thus having destroyed this stability", the Party of Regions Leader reminded during a speech to the plant workers.
"There were no constitutional grounds for a decree on the dismissal of Verkhovna Rada in 2007. The coalition was settled. Parliament and government worked efficiently. But tough confrontation arose in the country. The authority bodies, the Constitutional Court, the Prosecutor's General Office were blockaded. More than one hundred thousand of our adherent arrived in Kyiv then to support the Party of Regions, but the president issued an edict to direct the subdivisions of internal troops to the capital. Then we made a decision that we do not want power at the cost of people's blood.
And after the elections a pseudo democratic coalition was created. The "orange" ended their short-lasting history with a scandal and scattered", Viktor Yanukovych said.
He urged Donetsk people to come to the elections and vote against "orange" disorder.
