Parliamentarian Pavlo Klymets: The Government has good reasons to be proud of its 100 days in office
08.11.2006, 10:19
"I can say that the Government worked hard during these 100 days both in the area of legislative initiatives and appointments. Obviously major efforts were concentrated on preparing the draft State Budget for 2007.
There may be different views on some Cabinet's initiatives, however, in general the Budget is realistic, socially oriented, and what is most important, there are no doubts that the Government will execute it.
I would point out two prominent features of the draft Budget for 2007. First, the privatization proceeds will be channeled for investment and innovation development of the economy. Second, additional funds for stimulating local budgets have been considerably upped to 77.1%.
I believe that adoption of the draft Budget in the first reading and active work in the parliamentary committees is a guarantee that Ukraine will get on time its main financial plan for the next year," Parliamentarian Pavlo Klymets said in his commentary on the first 100 days in office of Viktor Yanukovych's Government. | |
