Parliamentarian Oleksandr Peklushenko: The Cabinet of Ministers works seriously and systematically
07.11.2006, 14:31
"To my mind, the history of this Government began much earlier than the day when it was voted in by Parliament. It rather started during an election campaign," said parliamentarian Oleksandr Peklushenko, deputy head of the parliamentary faction of the Party of Regions in his commentary on the first 100 days in office of Viktor Yanukovych's Government. "I would describe an election campaign as a first phase of work, after finishing which the party, the faction of the Party of Regions and our leader proceeded to the next phase of work – formation of the Cabinet of Ministers. After completing this work, we went on to the most difficult part of the job."
Oleksandr Peklushenko said that it is a very hard working Government. "During a short time, the Cabinet of Ministers solved several significant problems. Primarily its efforts will allow the country to live through this difficult winter. Another important point is that it is the Government of doers, not talkers. The ministers are not engaging in publicity, however, the effect of the work of the executive branch of power is visible to everybody. I have just visited my region, and while there, I saw how seriously and systematically the Cabinet of Ministers works, which is visible to the regions."
Parliamentarian Oleksandr Peklushenko also emphasized that the executive branch of power, which was earlier misbalanced, now has acquired a mechanism of responsibility. I see how Kliuyev, Rybak, Dzharty and other ministers work: in a balanced way, without unnecessary pomp, systematically interacting with the regions. So, I am confident that this Government and our country have the future," parliamentarian Oleksandr Peklushenko concluded. | |
