Yevhen Kushnaryov: Assiduity is a prominent feature of the incumbent Government

On November 10, after the joint meeting of the Anti-crisis Coalition and the Government, deputy head of the parliamentary faction of the Party of Regions Yevhen Kushnaryov told reporters that "the Prime Minister's address to that assembly was ideally balanced." "He said honestly, without blame-shifting, about the problems, that we inherited, and he objectively, without exaggeration, reported about the Government's progress. And the main thing, he clearly outlined the prospects," Yevhen Kushnaryov noted.
"In one word, I would characterize the incumbent Government as diligent. Viktor Yanukovych's personal assiduity today is a prominent feature of the present Government," Yevhen Kushnaryov said.
Yevhen Kushnaryov does not view the Government's 100 days in office as a festive occasion. "It is just an occasion to objectively look at yourself in the mirror, to evaluate what you have done, and what you plan to do," Yevhen Kushnaryov said. "We view this mark only from that angle."
The parliamentarian said that the main achievement of the first 100 days in office of Viktor Yanukovych's Government is that the Government is firmly standing on its feet, it knows its potential, it displays confidence, and it clearly sees what has to be done next.
In general, Yevhen Kushnarvov positively characterizes the Government's performance, and he believes that it is yet premature to evaluate the Cabinet's work during only 100 days. "What tangible results for the public can be achieved during 100 days? Nobody has ever accomplished that. However, from the professional standpoint it should be noted that the Government keeps situation under control. It has tactics and strategy. It defuses tension in society, and it does not provoke crisis situations. So, I positively evaluate its work," the parliamentarian said.
When asked about a broad coalition, Yevhen Kushnaryov said that it remains "an imperative of the time, and it is our strategic line." "Indisputably, what we need both inside and outside parliament, is consolidation of the political forces around the idea of pragmatism, improvement of people's lives, and enhancing Ukraine's repute. And we will initiate and continue these processes," Yevhen Kushnaryov stressed. | |
