Viktor Yanukovych: The Party of Regions XI congress will consider the alterations to the Party's statute and program

The Party of Regions XI congress which will take place on April, 19 in Kyiv, will consider the alterations to the Party's statute and program. "We should upgrade our Party's statute and bring it to conformity with the best European standards", the Party of Regions Leader Viktor Yanukovych mentioned. According to him, the congress delegates will also have to update the Party's program of activity.
"The Party's program was elaborated over 10 years ago, when the initial stage of state foundation was completed in Ukraine and now we should advance it so that it meets the modern requirements", Viktor Yanukovych remarks. In his opinion, the basic principles of the democratic state foundation through strengthening of the regional communities role which the Party of Regions practices, are not subject to changes.
The congress will also address the issue of strengthening the Party's international connections. | |
