03.07.2008, 16:05
"Before approving amendments to the budget, which overheat the economy, one should think carefully", People's Deputy, Party of Regions parliamentary faction member, Minister of Fuel and Energy of the Opposition government Yuriy Boyko said.
"And, definitely, opinion of the National Bank should be a key factor because the noblest social program and social payoffs could be adopted, but if in two months inflation takes away this money from people it will be the same as with payment of 1 thousand hryvnias – people were deprived of this money due to inflation. Therefore, opinion of the National Bank should be a crucial point. I hope it was taken into account", People's Deputy said.
Assessing the possibility of the situation when owing to Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko's demand to vote for governmental program "The Ukrainian Breakthrough" before passing the budget, the approval of alterations to "Budget-2008" may be stalled again, Yu. Boyko marked: "Who will vote if they lack votes? They have to determine their position and agree among themselves".
"I think that there will be no voting, as the ruling coalition lacks votes", the politician summed up.
